Hello Again
I don't remember why I stopped posting, but today I was cleaning up my favorites list and saw this. I loved reading through my life in New York and wondered why I had stopped posting. Admittedly, life in San Antonio is not as exciting as life in New York, but surely I have something to say. I do journal regularly, but now it is pencil and paper. I keep a journal for Alivia of the time we spend together. I have filled one journal for her and am halfway through the second one. This summer, I began a journal for "Bud" chronicling his life even before he is born. I always encourage my students to keep a journal or diary, because I think that the best way to truly appreciate our wonderful memories is to be able to relive the details that are forgotten or become blurred over the years. Last Christmas I gave each of my daughters a journal. I filled it with my memories of their lives. Some are memories that they were to young to recall and some are events from my perspective. They loved the books! Officially I still possess them as there are so many more things I want to write in them. I wish I had started when they were still young. So many memories have been lost. So, as I ramble on, what I really wanted to say is that I need to start blogging again, before the memories are lost.
